FALL / WINTER 2022 COLLECTION
Self-taught designer William McNicol brought sleek Midwestern flair to Manhattan with his F/W 2022 Collection. Made up of practical fabrics that can be worn through rain or shine, William Frederick’s newest pieces are bound to live in your closet for seasons to come.
F/W '22: SKINFOLK
Reigning from roots in the American South, Aaron Potts is merging culture and style for his newest A/W 2022 Collection: SKINFOLK. The brand is focused on creating unisex fashion that transcends seasons, and this newest collection’s range of warm-toned, form-fitting silhouettes is no exception. Perfect for layering on a cold day or wearing alone on a sunny one, any piece from SKINFOLK will be your next favorite.
F/W '22: NORTH BEACH
Teddy Vonranson’s F/W 2022 Collection: NORTH BEACH binds East and West Coast influences to reinvigorate a new type of zeal in American fashion. On a set scattered with fake snow and dim lighting, utilitarian coats and structured suits were dressed up with cozy scarves and snug beanies that are sure to keep you warm on your next trip to the mountains.
F/W '22: THE RUGGED GENTLEMAN'S COLLECTION
Coming in hot from Southern California is STAN, a sustainable fashion label rooted in modernity and surf culture. Inspired by his grandfather, designer Tristan Detwiler uses textiles as old as 140 years old to create timeless pieces that make up The Rugged Gentleman’s collection of FW 2022.
F/W '22: MEET ME AT THE BLEACHERS
New York-based designer Nicholas Raefski created his eponymous label to reflect a new side of his two loves aside from fashion: cinema and the outdoors. His F/W ‘22 collection: MEET ME BY THE BLEACHERS combines influences from both pop culture and sports to create an effervescent set with colorful textiles that are bound to become your next statement piece of the upcoming season.
THE ACADEMY NEW YORK
FALL/WINTER 2022 COLLECTION
Luxury ready-to-wear label THE ACADEMY NEW YORK is led by designer Swaim Hutson, and their newest collection reigned in an interactive setting where viewers were able to speak with Hutson on his process and touch the pieces in a physical setting. From boldly-patterned sweaters to structured bags, the F/W ‘22 collection acted as the male counterpart to his womenswear collection launched during F/W ‘21 last year.
FALL/WINTER 2022 COLLECTION
South Korean-born menswear designer Clara Son is bringing earth tones back to autumn with her F/W ‘22 collection. Muted oranges and greens dressed models in thick fabrics and thin silks to make up a breathable collection of pieces for next season.
The presentation was interrupted by daring performance art choreographed by Vivake Khamsingsavath in which nearly-nude models displayed contemporary dance to tell a story through audience engagement. Just as the performance art disrupted the state of the presentation, Son’s newest collection of reflective textiles and baggy jumpsuits is sure to alter the state of menswear this fall.
